First Two Weeks

Some sketches related to my first two weeks of work from January 20th to February 3rd.

In short, WORK IS DEATH, FUCK WORK. Long story is that for those few weeks, it was hell. There was no time for me to sleep or eat, much less manage social contacts or enjoy any leisure, and it was killing me inside and out. I made it through each day by sleeping in my car during lunch, but otherwise, it was suffering to try and slough through the entire day without dying. The idea of payment for all my suffering helped, but when the check finally came, the amount was drastically less than what could be expected due to a technicality in the pay period - I had essentially worked my ass off for five dollars an hour. Not worth it.

That being said, the next two weeks were filled with being issued a parking ticket, and there was something irritating about being a state employee to had to pay the state again - once after taxes, and then being ticketted. It also did not help that the department where you paid off your parking tickets were on my floor, and across the hall from my work area, so that was a little bit of salt rubbed into the wound. Though, what was smashing salt into the wound was the fact I was reprimanded for being late after lunch the next day, for paying the parking ticket issued to me, that I had to pay to my own department. There was heavy snow the next day, so that did not help the tardiness issue, but at that point, I was pretty much done. I might illustrate it later. I don't know. We'll see.
